Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the investment interest of the younger generation through a literature review approach. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review by collecting, examining, comparing, and synthesizing findings from previous studies related to investment interest among young people. The data sources consist of national and international scientific journals, books, and publications from relevant institutions discussing financial literacy, investment behavior, and the factors affecting investment decisions. The findings indicate that financial literacy is the most influential factor in increasing investment interest among the younger generation. In addition, income, investment motivation, risk perception, social media, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and digital technology also have significant roles in shaping investment interest. The rapid development of digital technology and the accessibility of investment applications have encouraged more young people to participate in investment activities. However, inadequate financial literacy and investment decisions driven by trends may increase the risk of financial losses. Therefore, collaboration among the government, educational institutions, financial service providers, and regulatory agencies is essential to improve financial literacy and promote responsible investment behavior among the younger generation. This study is expected to serve as a reference for future research and contribute to the development of strategies aimed at increasing investment participation among young people.
